Make Every Day Matter with The Moments Journal
It’s the beginning of 2017 and we are all looking forward with the hopes of an even bigger and brighter year than the last. I’m sure that when we look back at 2016 there are just as many good memories as there are bad ones (although Brexit, Trump and the deaths of so many talented stars may cause you to question this). Something I worry about is the possibility of forgetting the smaller, happier moments in life. The moments which made you truly grateful to be alive. The Moments Journal aims to ensure that you don’t forget these important day-to-day details by encouraging you to record and appreciate each and every single one. Intriguing right? MultiPower Protein Snacks to Try this Year
It’s that time of year again… “New Year, New Me!” You can almost hear this same phrase being chanted from the rooftops of sweaty gyms and pop-up juice stands. I refuse to adopt this saying. This is simply because to say “New Year, New Me” is to suggest that I am not happy with the person who I am today, which would be a lie. So instead I promise to simply better myself this year. To rest more, to work harder, to make more memories, and to look after myself. Now, I am strongly against fad diets and quick fixes, what a load of trollop. I simply choose to make better lifestyle choices and to be more active. My biggest vice in life, like so many others, is my love of sugar. For this very reason I was so excited when given the opportunity to try out some on-the-go MultiPower Protein Snacks to help me kerb my cravings. Keep reading to find out why I’m so obsessed with these Protein supplements, and why they would be perfect to try in 2017!!!

Clinique Event at Brewin Dolphin Cambridge
I’ve admittedly never tried a single Clinique product before. I’m not all too sure why that is. I think I just had this strange unfounded impression that Clinique was mega-expensive and branded for Mums/Grandmas. I’m now kicking myself for such ignorance after the amazing Clinique event at Brewin Dolphin in Cambridge a few weeks ago. On this glorious Christmas eve, get cosy and settle into my exclusive re-enactment of the event. I’ll also be (as always) revealing the VERY generous Clinique goodie bag. It’s definitely one of the most generous goodie bags I’ve ever received!!
Winter at Rush Hair Salon in Cambridge
A little while ago I received the loveliest surprise email in my inbox. It was an invitation to attend a blogging event to celebrate the first birthday of Rush Hair salon in Cambridge. Having been at University for the last few years I hadn’t yet had the pleasure of visiting Rush Hair, but I’m well aware of their amazing reputation nonetheless. I was beyond excited to attend this meet up, in fact I couldn’t send my acceptance response quick enough! I think I was so worried I’d been invited by mistake I thought if I dashed in their quickly they would feel too awkward to un-invite me!! Of course that wasn’t the case but it’s so new to me to be invited to wonderful things like this. In this post I’ll be talking about the wonderful event at Rush Hair salon. I’ll also be giving you all an exclusive peak into the Rush Hair goodie bag, the goodie bag I almost forgot… More on that later.
The Ely Cathedral Christmas Gift and Food Fair 2016
The Ely Christmas Cracker was my first local blogger event EVER. I was a newbie once again but I was so excited to meet some lovely, like-minded local bloggers. Even better, it was an amazingly festive event (and we all know how much I loooooove anything Christmassy). It was pretty nerve wracking to begin with, but we got chatting and had an amazing day out at the Ely Christmas fair. We also had a mooch around some lovely independent shops in Ely, some I’d never experienced before. Keep reading to find out more! Read more..
Full Body Workout from Home with Aero Sports
Can I be totally honest? I am SICK of extortionate gym membership fees. And the joke is that I can’t even go to said gym –not naming names– due to inflexible opening hours and busy peak times. I was complaining about exactly that on Twitter when I was contacted Aero Sports who asked me to review a few pieces of equipment. I’d never heard of Aero Sports before but I was beyond excited to try working out from home after doing a little research. Since using my Aero Sports equipment I have honestly cancelled my gym membership and I’m working out more regularly than ever before. Today I’ll be talking about what the lovely Ana at Aero Sports sent me and why I’m so chuffed with this brand!
Tender Loving Self Care: the importance of looking after yourself
I wanted to talk about something fairly personal this week because October has been an absolute whirlwind of emotion for me. Due to various factors I’ve had really bad MH (mental health) lately. This is thanks to stress and other pressure which I’ve placed on myself. Being a perfectionist in every single aspect of my life is incredibly tiring at times and lately it’s taken it’s toll on me mentally. I’ve been setting myself unobtainable goals with my blogging, with my social life and professional life etc etc and when I don’t reach these goals I scold myself. When my MH gets bad it effects everything. I become permanently exhausted and my physical health deteriorates which makes it worse – it’s an endless cycle. A few weeks ago I was swept into this slump and I was reminded of the negative impact a poor MH has on your life. Today I thought I would remind and reassure you all & myself of the need (yes, need) and importance of self care.
I Graduated from The University of Lincoln class of 2016
If you follow me on social media then I’m sorry because you’re going to have to hear it again… I GRADUATED! I can’t believe how fast the last three years have flown by. Throughout the stress and the partying that is University, I had somehow completely forgotten that there would be a degree and a graduation ceremony at the end of it all. How funny is that? I can now say that it was honestly one of the best days of my life. After three years of hard work I could celebrate with the people I care for most and look forward to a hopefully prosperous future.
