Banish Dry Winter Skin with Palmer’s Cocoa Butter

Palmer's Cocoa Butter www.wingitwithjade.com

I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that my skin is always at its absolute worst at this time of year. With the colder temperatures comes scaly and even crusty skin (yum), and my face always bears the brunt of it. At the very same time, over indulging in all the scrummy food and alcohol over the festive period has me breaking out in spots and blackheads left, right and centre. Having combination skin to boot makes buying skincare products a bit of a nightmare when you’re trying to combat several issues in one go so I’m usually overly cautious about the products I use on my face. This year however my skin has been particularly bad so I reached for the new skincare range Palmer’s Cocoa Butter in an act of sheer desperation

Exfoliating Facial Scrub

I cannot even express to you how much of a godsend this product has been for me this winter. Unlike other popular facial scrubs, Palmer’s Cocoa Butter scrub uses natural ingredients such as crushed walnut shells and cocoa powder – so no gross chemical smells (or tastes, because we all get a little bit in the mouth by accident… or is that just me?) Thanks to these natural ingredients this scrub feels kind to the skin, as well as actually WORKING as a facial scrub and getting all the nastiness out of your pores. My sensitive skin has had absolutely no issues with it over the past few months. If you can take a moment to imagine the smell of pure cocoa and walnut; that is EXACTLY what this scrub smells like. It feels like I’m stepping into Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory every time I open the lid. If this isn’t heaven I don’t know what is.Palmer's Cocoa Butter Pinterest Image www.wingitwithjade.com.

Moisture Rich Overnight Cream

I was much more hesitant to try this product as my combination skin means that I often suffer with an incredibly oily T-zone, so I tend to stick to one very light daily moisturiser in the morning. However, my gross reptile skin has pushed me to trying something completely new this winter, and I’m so glad I did! In late December/early January in particular my skin has just been so horrible and flaky, particularly on and around my nose and my hairline. Palmer's Cocoa Butter Pinterest Image www.wingitwithjade.com.On one particularly crusty night (niiiiice) I applied the Palmer’s Cocoa Butter overnight cream and whoaaa nelly… 1. It literally smells SO GOOD. I could actually eat it. I mean, I won’t because I doubt it’ll taste very nice… But yeah, it’s the loveliest smell to have on your face when you’re going to sleep. Just make sure you’re not hungry, otherwise you might find yourself raiding your Christmas chocolate stash. 2. I’m not even joking when I tell you that this cream completely fixed my skin overnight – I was in total awe!Palmer's Cocoa Butter Pinterest Image www.wingitwithjade.com.

What’s it Going to Cost?

You can buy these products, or other items from the cocoa butter range from a variety of sites such as; ChemistDirect, Feel Unique, Sally, or Superdrug.

All sites have the products at a similar price but at this current in moment in time, Superdrug’s prices are the lowest (and they are the most familiar site for me) with the facial scrub at £5.49 and the overnight cream at £7.99

Overall Thoughts on Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Products

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Pinterest Image www.wingitwithjade.com.The exfoliating scrub is actually a game changer for me and I have been using it religiously every other day for months. It’s definitely become a strong part of my regular skincare regime and I’ll 100% be buying this again. The overnight moisture rich cream is so, so perfect for this wintery time of year. I only need to use it once a week as that’s all my skin needs. Any more and I might be walking around with a face like a shiny disco ball. I shouldn’t imagine I’ll need to use this product as regularly when the weather perks up. However, it definitely fits the bill for right now and I’ll be keeping it in mind next winter.
